Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Kelly Kamis is a graduate of The University of Michigan.  After graduating, she moved to New York City and taught ESL for 2 years in Brooklyn with Teach for America.  While in NYC, Kelly received a Masters in Education from Pace University.  After completing her commitment with TFA, Kelly moved to Maui for 9 months, but missed the cold weather too much!  Kelly is excited to be a part of the KIPP Ascend Team and Family, and is our 6th grade Non-Fiction teacher.
