Keenya Brown

Ms. Keenya BrownKeenya Brown, Development Associate, joined KIPP Ascend Charter School in February of 2008.  Prior to KIPP, Ms. Brown coordinated events for the Illinois Arts Alliance (IAA); managed teaching artists at Reading In Motion; and served for three years at Riverwoods Christian Center as a Community Advocate and Curriculum Development Specialist.  While earning her Masters degree, Ms. Brown held an internship at Street-Level Youth Media and successfully completed several projects in marketing, accounting, fund raising, and database management.
 
Ms. Brown received her B.A. in Christian Education from Wheaton College, and graduated with a Masters in Arts Management (MAM) from Columbia College Chicago.
