	Kate Mazurek

Kate Mazurek joined Teach for America in 2001, teaching eighth-grade mathematics at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School in Atlanta, GA.  While at King, she also coached girls’ basketball, soccer, and softball.  Since completing her two years of service in Atlanta, Ms. Mazurek has continued to be involved with Teach for America as an advisor at the TFA Houston Institute.  In addition, she worked at Jesse Sherwood Elementary School in Chicago as a resource teacher and 21st Century After-School Program Specialist.  Kate is both the 8th grade Language Arts teacher and the 8th grade Chair.  Ms. Mazurek as a Master’s in Education from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University.
