Carmen Isherwood is extremely thrilled to be part of KIPP Ascend after watching the KIPP program grow during the 12 years she lived in Houston!  Mrs. Isherwood was born in Villalba, Puerto Rico and grew up in Waukegan. She is an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Southern Illinois University.  When not at school, Mrs. Isherwood enjoys walking her two beagles, salsa dancing with her husband, and shopping with her college freshman daughter.
